Dudley Overview

Dudley is a powerful boxer with strong normals and high-damage combos. He excels in close-range combat and can easily pressure opponents with his quick attacks and frame traps. His juggle potential and mix-up game make him a formidable character in the right hands.

Best Super Art

Super Art I: “Rocket Uppercut” is often considered Dudley’s best Super Art due to its high damage output, strong juggle potential, and the ability to confirm into it from various normals and specials. It’s excellent for maximizing Dudley’s punishing game and can be easily integrated into his bread-and-butter combos.

Super Art III: “Corkscrew Blow” is also highly recommended for players who prefer a more versatile option with quick activation. It provides good utility in both offensive pressure and defensive situations, making it a strong choice for different playstyles.

Basic Strategy

Pressure Game: Use Dudley’s fast normals and command overheads (F + HP and F + MK) to create a high-low mix-up game. His “Machine Gun Blow” can be used to apply safe pressure, especially in combination with his “Ducking” move to quickly close distance.

Anti-Air: Dudley’s “Jet Upper” (dp + P) is a solid anti-air option. Use the LP version for quick reactions or the HP version for more damage.

Juggles: Dudley excels in juggles. After a “Jet Upper” or “Machine Gun Blow,” you can follow up with an “EX Machine Gun Blow” or “Rocket Uppercut” for massive damage.

Footsies: Use F + HK (“Step Straight”) to poke and maintain distance. Dudley’s “Cross Counter” (hcf + K) can be used to counter predictable pokes from your opponent.
